Chengyang Eight Villages is located 20 kilometers north of Guyi Town, the county seat, and is the most famous Dong village in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. Chengyang Dong Village was formed in the Qing Dynasty and consists of eight natural villages, including Ma'an, Pingzhai, Yanzhai, Chengyang Dazhai, Pingpu, and Guandong, covering an area of 12.55 square kilometers, where more than 2,000 Dong compatriots live. Each of the eight villages in Chengyang has its own village gate.
