Dongshan, also known as Dongting Dongshan or Dongdongting Mountain, is located in Dongshan Town, 23.5 kilometers southwest of Suzhou City. It consists of seven lake islands, including Dongshan, Sanshan, Zeshan, Fenshan, Sheshan, and Nanbeijianhu, covering an area of 83.78 square kilometers and a protected area of 31 square kilometers. The scenic area includes Moli Peak, Sheshan Island, Lingyuan Temple, Zijin Temple , Longtou Mountain, Changqizui, Yangwan , Sanshan Island 8 scenic spots and Dongshan Tourist Town and Luxiang Tourist Village. How to get there:
Public transportation: Take bus No. 502 from the railway station to Dongshan, the fare is 4 yuan; or take a minibus from Wuzhong District Bus Station to Dongshan Town, which runs every 5-10 minutes and the fare is 7 yuan. The buses to Dongshan all pass through Mudu, and tourists can take a minibus directly to Dongshan from Mudu.
During the peak tourist season in Dongshan Town, there are minibuses running to and from various scenic spots (the bus will start when it is full, the driving time is 30 minutes, and the ticket price is 2 yuan). At other times, you can only go there by motorized tricycle, and the starting fee is 5 yuan.
