Introduction to the Court: Located on the west side in front of the treasure gate, it is where the monks of Sensoji Temple live, including the guest hall (a building used as a guest room) and entrance hall built in 1777 AD, and the large academy (study, practice and learning) built in 1871 place), and the abbot’s living room, etc. It is said that the court has a spacious garden covering an area of ​​approximately 12,200 m2 (currently not open to the public). It is said that the garden was built in the first half of the 17th century by Kobori Enshu, who was famous as a tea master, garden landscaper, and architect. A walking path around the pond offers views of the garden.
