Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo. It is located in Asakusa 2-chome, Taito District, Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 628. General Tokugawa Ieyasu in the Edo period designated this place as a prayer place for the shogunate and is the center of Heian culture.
