Introduction to Chen Rong Stele Forest: Opposite the Bailong Palace, there is a stone stele inlaid with blue bricks, with meticulous bamboo paintings carved on the stele. Its branches and leaves are vigorous and neat; they are scattered in various shapes and arranged well. The author of the bamboo stele, Chen Rong, also known as Xiaosong, was born in the 20th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1840). He was a native of Mazhuang at the foot of Songshan Mountain in Linqu County. The inscription and postscript on the lower right side of the bamboo carving are written in cursive style, with smooth writing, elegant and beautiful, concise diction and profound meaning. This bamboo carving has excellent pictures and text, and is exquisitely crafted. It is a precious cultural relic. This bamboo carving has been around for more than 180 years and has been exposed to wind and rain and wars. It is indeed not easy to survive today.
