Introduction to Haoling Gate: Haoling Gate is the southernmost gate of Xiyue Temple, also known as Liansanmen. It was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is a masonry city building with a tower on the city gate. The earlier brick building with a single eaves on the top of the mountain had no floors and was in the style of a beamless hall. The gate tower has now been restored. Its stone Xumizuo is carved from solid stone, and its stone paving forms a major structural feature, which is similar to the stone Xumizuo wall base under the Meridian Gate in Beijing.
