Scenic spot introduction:

The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea was established in Shanghai, China on April 13, 1919. After the heroic act of Yun Bong-gil in Hongkou Park, Shanghai on April 29, 1932, the oppression of the Japanese army intensified. The Provisional Government then left Shanghai and arrived in Chongqing in 1940 via Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Zhenjiang, Guangzhou and other places. The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea successively held offices in Yangliu Street, Shiban Street, and Wushiye Lane in Chongqing, and finally moved to No. 38 Lianhuachi, Qixinggang, Yuzhong District. The old site was restored and opened on August 11, 1995 after consultation between Chongqing City and the Korean Independence Memorial Hall.

The Chongqing Republic of Korea Provisional Government Site Exhibition Hall is a quadrangle layout, Chinese and Western brick and wood structure, with a total of five buildings, all built in the 1930s, with a total of 38 rooms, covering an area of 1,300 square meters and a total construction area of 1,700 square meters. Exhibition Hall 284 square meters (including the projection room), 21 restored exhibition rooms, and a total of 97 collections on display in the museum.
