Scenic spot introduction:

The French government established a consulate in Chongqing in March 1896. The consulate was located in Erxian Temple in the city and later moved to Consulate Lane. All affairs in Sichuan, Guizhou, Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Tibet were under its jurisdiction. In 1902, French naval officer Huerst led a surveying team on a French warship and established a French naval barracks on the south bank of Chongqing, known as the Audang Barracks. It is located at No. 142, Qiantai Lane, Danzishi, Nan'an District, Chongqing, on Nanbin Road, the "Chongqing Bund".

The French Navy Barracks covers an area of 1,140 square meters and has a total construction area of 1,617 square meters. The architectural style can be said to be a combination of Chinese and Western styles, with orderly attics surrounding, old but not rotten wooden floors, blue bricks and old tiles, and inscriptions on plaques. History and culture have been fully accumulated here.
