Introduction to Zhuji Ancient Alley: The name Zhuji Alley is not derived from the production of beautiful jade, but is related to the reward of pearls from Jingzong of the Tang Dynasty. Zhuji Alley was also called "Jingzong Alley" in the Tang Dynasty. Because there were seven generations of Zhang Xing clan members living in the lane, Tang Emperor Li Zhan heard about it and rewarded their family with a pearl ribbon ring. Soon after Li Zhan died, he was given the temple name Tang Jingzong. "Jingzong Lane" was renamed Zhuji Lane to avoid taboo, and it is still in use today.
