Drum Tower Introduction: Yinchuan Drum Tower is also known as Cross Drum Tower and Four Drum Tower, with a total height of 36 meters. The platform foundation was built in the first year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1821). It is square in shape, with a side length of 24 meters and a height of 8.5 meters. It is built with bricks and stones. In the 34th year of Guangxu's reign (1908), local gentry and merchants in Ningxia donated money to build another three-story beam frame on the platform, but it was later stopped due to "lack of funds." It was not until the 6th year of the Republic of China (1917) that Ningxia County Governor Yu Dingming continued to rebuild the building and added awnings and corner squares at the four corners.
