Introduction to the monument where the Japanese invaders landed at the south gate of Jinshan Acropolis: Jinshan Acropolis is located on the north shore of Hangzhou Bay. It has been an important military town resisting foreign invasion since ancient times. During the "August 13" Songhu Battle, Jinshan Guard was an important position of the Chinese army. On November 5, 1937, the Japanese army made a sneak attack and landed there. More than 300 Jinshanwei coastal defenders rose up to resist. In the end, only 28 people broke through, and the rest all died heroically. After the Japanese troops landed, they burned and killed 2,933 people in Jinshan County and burned down more than 26,000 houses.
