Introduction to the Ancestral Temple: The Ancestral Temple was built in 1420 (the 18th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty). It was an ancestral temple where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped their ancestors. According to the regulations of the ancient royal capital "Zuozu Youshe", it was built at the same time as the Forbidden City and the Sheji Altar, and is an important part of the Forbidden City. The building adopts a central axis symmetry layout, with the glazed gate, white marble arch bridge, halberd gate, and three main halls arranged on the central axis in sequence, while the well pavilion, divine kitchen, and divine auxiliary halls are arranged on both sides.
