Introduction to Rongbaozhai: Rongbaozhai was built in the 11th year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1672) and was formerly known as Songzhuzhai. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, old shops in Liulichang such as Rongbaozhai and Daqian Gallery were vying to hang paintings and calligraphy by famous artists in front of their windows. Attracting people to stop and watch, it has become a scenery in Liulichang. During the Republic of China, the older generation of calligraphers and painters such as Yu Youren, Zhang Daqian, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, etc. were also frequent visitors here. Rongbaozhai attaches great importance to the management and collection of art, and is known as the "Folk Forbidden City".
