Zuolong Gorge is located in Guzhang, western Hunan, across the river from the famous Furong Town. Within the scenic area with a total area of 2,371.29 hectares, the forest coverage rate reaches 81.4%. The canyon is more than 6,500 meters long. There are streams, pools, waterfalls, and many ancient trees growing in the valley. How to get there:
Bus route: You can take a long-distance bus to Guzhang or Furong Town, and then take a taxi.
Self-driving route:
1. Take the Zhanghua Expressway in the direction of Changsha and Zhangjiajie, turn into S229 at Wangjiawan and drive towards Furong Town, cross the Furong Town Bridge (Wangcun Super Bridge) and enter X025 That’s it.
2. Take S229 in the direction of Jishou, Xiangxi, toward Guzhang and Luoyixi Town, pass through Qifeng Tunnel, pass the Hongshilin Gas Station, and turn into X025.
