Forest introduction: The vertical vegetation zone in the canyon has obvious characteristics and is rich in rare animal and plant resources. Different vegetation types are distributed among the mountains with an altitude difference of more than 800 meters, and the landscape changes significantly throughout the seasons. There are 1,283 species of vascular plants in 104 families, 624 genera, and 26 species are nationally protected wild plants. Among them, there are three national Class I protected plants: Ginkgo, Southern yew, and Campanula; and the National Class II protected plants include Liriodendron tulipifera. , zelkova, golden pine and other 23 species, it is one of the areas with the richest plants in Hunan. At the same time, there are 279 known species of wild vertebrates in the park, including more than 20 species of national first- and second-level protected animals.
