The Shandong Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve is a wetland-type nature reserve that mainly protects new wetland ecosystems and rare and endangered birds. Located on the coast of the Bohai Sea, within the territory of Dongying City, on both sides of the estuary of the New and Old Yellow Rivers, it is a national nature reserve established with the approval of the State Council in 1992. It has three management stations, Qian Er, Yellow River Estuary and Dawengliu, with a total area of 153,000 hectares, including 82,700 hectares of land area, 38,250 hectares of intertidal area, and 32,050 hectares of shallow sea area of ​​minus 3 meters at low tide.
