Introduction to Zhihua Temple Beijing Music: Zhihua Temple Beijing Music is the only type of music that has been passed down from generation to generation among the existing ancient music in my country. It was introduced to Zhihua from the palace in the 11th year of Zhengtong in the Ming Dynasty (1446 AD) The temple has been passed down uninterruptedly for more than 560 years in Zhihua Temple, and is now passed down to the 27th generation of descendants. The tunes of the Beijing music of Zhihua Temple are ethereal, mysterious, simple and elegant, and still retain the legacy of the Tang and Song Dynasties. It is known as the "living fossil of ancient Chinese music" and was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists in 2006.
