Luxiang Ancient Village in Suzhou is currently the highest quality, largest number and best preserved ancient village among the architectural groups in Jiangnan. It is known as the "No. 1 Ancient Village in Taihu Lake". Luxiang is the hometown of Wang Hao, the prime minister during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. Wang Hao once served in Jieyuan, Huiyuan, and Tanhua. His disciple Tang Bohu called him "the best in terms of articles in the country and the unparalleled prime minister in the mountains." Because Wang Hao's mother's surname was Lu, the village got its name. Since ancient times, celebrities have emerged here in large numbers, so it is also known as the cradle of Jinshi and the hometown of professors.There are not many tourists in the ancient village. The alleys are winding with stone streets, and most of the Ming and Qing buildings have beautiful Soviet-style gardens. The atmosphere of life here is rich. In the morning, you can see vendors selling vegetables under the Huiyuan Archway. When the vendors switch to selling fresh food from Taihu Lake, the day for tourists in the ancient village officially begins. The Hangu Crossing in the north of the village is low and beautiful. Whenever the sun sets in the west, a red sun slowly sets in the west, and the red fire shines, which is extremely spectacular. It is the best place to have a panoramic view of Luxiang Ancient Village.

How to get there:
Bus route: Take bus 502 from the south square of Suzhou Railway Station, bus 621 from the Mudu transfer hub station 150 meters east of the "Mudu" station of Metro Line 1, or bus 62 from the west of Wuzhong Bus Station to "Dongshan" "First and last station". It is recommended to take the subway to Mudu and then transfer to Route 621, which saves time.
Self-driving route: Youxin Road → Southwest Route around the city, exit from Dongshan/Hengjing Exit, go through Wuzhong Avenue → XZ01 → Molifeng Huanshan Road.

Ticket prices for Luxiang Ancient Village:
Adult tickets are 65 yuan, students and seniors aged 60-69 years old have half the ticket with valid ID, children under 1.4 meters tall and seniors over 70 years old are free with valid ID.
