Scenic spot introduction:

The Memorial Hall of the Former Site of the General Front Committee of the Huaihai Campaign of the Communist Party of China in Huaibei once enjoyed the reputation of Little Moscow. It once became the center of anti-imperialist, anti-feudal and propaganda and cultural movements. It was also a place for literati in the Song Dynasty to gather and audition talents. On November 11, 1948, the fifth day of the Huaihai Campaign, Liu Bocheng, Chen Yi, and Deng Xiaoping met at Zhanggongdian, Zhecheng, Henan, and then quickly went south to Linhuan. The Central Plains Field Army headquarters was located in Wenchang Palace. That night, Liu Bocheng, Chen Yi, and Deng Xiaoping held a meeting in the conference room of Wenchang Palace attended by column commanders such as Yang Yong, Chen Geng, Chen Xilian, and Qin Jiwei to study and deploy a military meeting to attack Suxian and cut off the Xu-Beng Line. On the 16th, the General Front Committee for the Huaihai Campaign was established with "Liu Bocheng, Chen Yi, and Deng Xiaoping as the Standing Committee". The Central Plains Field Army Command Headquarters also became the headquarters of the General Front Committee for the Huaihai Campaign. The General Front Committee held many important military meetings here, analyzed the battlefield situation, studied and formulated a series of combat plans, achieved victory in the first phase of the Huaihai Campaign, and formulated a second-phase combat plan.

Attractions distribution:

The former site of the Huaihai Campaign General Front Committee is located on the west side of the northern section of Wenchang Street, Linhuan Town, Suixi County, Linhuan Wenchang Palace, and is divided into three courtyards: south, north and middle. The south courtyard is an exhibition area for pictures and historical materials of the Huaihai Campaign, and the north courtyard is an exhibition area in its original state. The restored rooms of Liu Bocheng, Chen Yi, and Deng Xiaoping are on display. There are tables, chairs, lanterns, transmitters and other cultural relics used by leaders of the General Front Committee for meetings and offices. Viewers can experience the simple life of the great men here and their optimistic spirit of revolutionary heroism.
