Botanic Garden Introduction: Christchurch Botanic Gardens was founded in July 1863. It was planted here to commemorate the marriage of Queen Victoria’s youngest son, Prince Albert Edward, to Princess Alexa of Denmark. An English oak tree fell. The Christchurch Botanical Garden now covers an area of ​​30 hectares and has 10 affiliated gardens. Among them, the rose garden has about 250 varieties of roses, making it colorful and full of floral fragrance.
