How to get there:

By airplane: Christchurch Airport is 7 kilometers away from the city center. Buses between the city and the airport include Super Shuttle (charges are NZD 12-18 depending on the distance of the drop-off in the city) and City Flyer (NZD 5). Taking a taxi costs about NZD 205-300.

Train: Running daily between Christchurch and Greymouth, it is one of the most beautiful train routes in the world. One way trip takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Car: There are buses in Christchurch that can connect to cities outside Christchurch, including Picton, Dunedin, Invercargill, Nelson, Gray Greaymouth and other nearby cities. The main roads connecting Christchurch are National Highways 1, 72, 73 and 75.

Bus: Christchurch Tramway, the journey is about 2.5 kilometers and takes about 25 minutes. During the whole journey, you can see Cathedral Square, Art Center, Gallery, Botanical Garden, Canterbury Museum, New Regent Avenue and other attractions.
