Yangzhou Tianning Temple is one of the eight famous temples in Yangzhou during the Qing Dynasty. It was the place where Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong stayed during their southern tours. Although it is not as famous as the Daming Temple, its unadorned and peaceful temple atmosphere, coupled with historical allusions and sacred sites, make it even more popular. Today, the overhauled Tianning Temple serves as one of the museum's exhibition halls, allowing visitors to understand the development of Buddhism in Yangzhou. Tianning Temple is located at No. 3 Fengle Shang Street in the north of Yangzhou City, with a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. On the central axis of the temple, there are Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Huayan Pavilion, and 92 corridors on both sides. In the west of the temple, there are preserved the ruins of the imperial palace, the imperial garden and the imperial wharf built before Qianlong's second southern tour. The restored Tianning Temple has been used as the Yangzhou Buddhist Culture Museum, with permanent exhibitions such as "Buddhism and Yangzhou", displaying Buddhist architecture, Buddha statues, thangkas, etc.Scenic spot features:

Tianning Temple Antique Market (original Street Stall Market) accommodates 300 stalls and is open on weekends and holidays from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The temple is only 2 kilometers away from the famous Slender West Lake scenic spot and can be reached in 10 minutes. It is recommended to go to Tianning Temple early in the morning and then go to Slender West Lake.

How to get there:
Bus route: No. 30, 60 Night Air Conditioning, Tourist Line, get off at Shi Gong Temple and walk 200 meters along Fengle Shangjie.
Self-driving route: Take Yanfu West Road in the city, cross the river at Yiting and enter Fengle Shangjie; from other provinces and cities, take the Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway/Qiyang Expressway and exit from Yangzhou City.
