Scenic spot introduction:

Heyuan Beidi Palace has a history of more than 700 years and is located beside the Longwang Pavilion on the Dongjiang River in Guzhu Town, Zijin County. According to legend, at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Han people in the Southern Song Dynasty in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong provinces moved south one after another to avoid war. Among them, a man from the Li family got separated from his tribe and came to Guzhu Town, Zijin County, where he had to live in the Beidi Palace. He built a altar in the temple, placed the ancestral tablets, and prayed for the blessings of Beidi and his ancestors. This day happens to be the second day of the third month of the lunar calendar. Later, the ancestors of the Li family started from scratch and quickly flourished. The Li people are grateful to their ancestors for their protection, and even more grateful to Bei Emperor for his kindness in hosting them. Therefore, every year on the second day of the third month of the lunar calendar, the entire clan will carry the statue of Bei Emperor around the village to show the villagers the great virtues of Bei Emperor.
