Introduction to Beidi Palace: Beidi Palace is Guzhu Beidi Temple. It has a history of more than 700 years and is located beside Longwang Pavilion by the Dongjiang River in Guzhu Town. According to legend, at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Han people from the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong moved southward to avoid war. Among them, there was a man from the Li family who got separated from his tribe and came to Guzhu Town, Zijin County, where he had to live in the Beidi Temple. He built a altar in the temple, placed the ancestral tablets, and prayed for the blessings of Beidi and his ancestors. This day happens to be the second day of the third month of the lunar calendar. Later, the ancestors of the Li family started from scratch and quickly flourished. The Li people are grateful to their ancestors for their protection, and even more grateful to Beidi for his support.
