Introduction to the Jade Urn Pavilion: In the courtyard in front of Chengguang Hall, there is a blue-roofed white jade pavilion, named the Jade Urn Pavilion. There is a variegated black jade urn on the stone lotus base in the pavilion, with a diameter of 1.5 meters, a circumference of 5 meters, a height of 70 centimeters, and a weight of 3500 kilograms. According to legend, it was a wine vat specially made by Kublai Khan, the founder of the Yuan Dynasty, to reward his soldiers. "It can store more than thirty stones of wine." It was carved in the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1265) and was originally called "Dushan Jade Sea". The body of the urn is engraved with clouds, dragons, seahorses, fish and dragons, and turbulent waves. Its exquisite carvings and vivid images are truly miraculous, and together with the white jade Buddha in Chengguang Hall, they are two of the best in Tuancheng.
