Introduction to Mazu’s Former Residence: Mazu’s Former Residence was built many times during the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties. It was burned down in the early Qing Dynasty and has not been rebuilt since. The existing building was rebuilt on June 15, 2001 (the 25th of the leap month in the lunar calendar) by 18 Mazu temples of the Taiwan Mazu Association.
