Scenic spot introduction:

Huangshichen is an archive established by the royal families of the Ming and Qing dynasties to preserve their royal history. It is also the most complete existing royal archives in China and the oldest arched and beamless palace building in Beijing. It is located southeast of the Forbidden City in Beijing, east of the southern end of Nanchizi Street. Huangshichen is a verandah-style building with a roof covered with yellow glazed tiles, with kissing beasts facing each other. It is the highest-level palace building. A plaque reading "Huang Shicheng" hangs high in front of the hall. The main hall faces north and faces south, and the whole structure can basically be called a stone house. It is an outstanding representative of archives warehouse architecture in my country's feudal society.

Huangshicheng is entirely a masonry structure with an area of ​​more than 2,000 square meters. The main buildings include the Huangshi Gate, the main hall, the east side hall, the west side hall, the imperial stele pavilion, etc., surrounded by red walls. The forehead of the emperor's history is written in both Manchu and Chinese characters. In the golden cabinet in the palace, the records and holy teachings of the emperors of the past dynasties are collected.
