Introduction to the murals in Chunyang Palace: The murals in Chunyang Palace present to everyone the story of Lu Dongbin’s birth to immortality in the form of 52 comic strips, which are called “Pictures of the Manifestation of Emperor Chunyang’s Journey to Immortality” .
The mural scenes are separated by natural scenery such as mountains, rivers, clouds, trees and rocks. The scenes include pavilions, platforms, buildings, pavilions, mountains and fields, cottages, gardens, teahouses, palaces, temples, wine shops, hotels, markets, hospitals, etc. There are high-ranking officials, dignitaries, bachelors, merchants, common people, farmers, beggars, etc. It can be said to be a microcosm of Chinese social life in the 13th to 14th centuries AD. On the back of the shrine in the center of the hall, there is also a picture of "Zhong Lu Talking about Taoism", commonly known as the "Two Immortals Pando" picture. Master Zhong and Lu Dongbin were sitting sideways opposite each other. Zhong Liquan was sitting leaning on a pine tree and was sincerely talking to Lu Dongbin about the Dharma. Lu Dongbin was sitting upright, with his head bent and attentive, listening to the teachings.
