Introduction to the Supervisory Hall: was built in the early Qing Dynasty, echoing the north and south of the prison, mainly to facilitate the interrogation of prisoners at any time. It is now used as an exhibition hall. The first, second and third exhibition rooms display China’s thousands of years of legal practice and its results with a large number of historical materials and cultural relics. The fourth to seventh exhibition rooms display a large number of physical instruments of torture. and pictures of cultural relics have unveiled the mystery of ancient Chinese torture instruments, allowing people to understand how human beings evolved from ignorance and barbarism to progressive civilization.
