Introduction to Shennong Temple: Shennong Temple is located halfway up the southern foot of Yangtou Mountain. A 500-meter-long stone staircase leads directly to the temple area. The road is lined with grassy flower beds. The front is a 500-square-meter platform, and the back is a temple. Although the temple is not very large, it is well-proportioned and divided into upper and lower courtyards. In the middle of the lower courtyard is the five-room mountain gate, with side gates and stacked halls on the left and right. A gold plaque with the words "Shennong Temple" hangs high on the mountain gate. The upper courtyard is the Yandi Hall, which hangs high above Shennong's medicine-washing pool. It is three rooms wide and two rooms deep. It was completed in 2001. There is a golden statue of Emperor Yan in the hall, with leaves draped over his shoulders and ears of grain in his hands. He has a kind face and sits majestically. There is Shennong Tower in the courtyard, and there is a spring under the tower. The spring water flows from the upper courtyard to the Shennong Medicine Washing Pool in the lower courtyard. There are 12 exhibition halls in the east and west of the main hall. On display in the east exhibition hall are dozens of Neolithic relics excavated in the area around Sheephead Mountain, and in the west exhibition hall are steles from past dynasties. The temple buildings are all blue tiles, red walls, carved beams and painted pillars. Shennong Temple is surrounded by mountains on three sides and lies in an oasis, very quiet.
