Introduction to the Desert Wild Ornamental Plant Specialty Garden: There are about 1,000 species of wild plants with ornamental value in arid desert areas, including Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Chenopodiaceae, Asteraceae, Lonicerae, Tamarixaceae, Iris, Liliaceae and Polygonaceae dominate.
The Desert Wild Ornamental Botanical Garden was founded in 1997, with a planned area of 1.0 hectares. More than 100 species of desert ornamental plants have been introduced. On the basis of focusing on the collection of shrub species, we turn to the collection of ground cover plants, low perennial herbs and short-lived ornamental plant species. In addition to paying attention to ornamental plants, we have also begun to pay attention to the collection and conservation of wild foliage, fruit, and shape plant species with characteristics of desert areas. Among them, there are a large number of wild materials that can be used for commercial ornamental flower breeding.
