Introduction to the apse: The apse was built in the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (1309). It has seven rooms with single eaves and a hanging mountain style. The three-generation Buddha and the two Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra are sculptured in the hall, all of which were made in the Yuan Dynasty. The four walls of the hall are covered with murals. They were stolen and sold abroad in 1928 and are now stored in the Nelson Museum of Art in Kansas City, USA. The remaining 16 square meters of painting on the upper part of the gable wall is about the fifty-three ginseng of Shancai Boy. The painting is exquisite and the colors are rich. It was a work when the temple was built.
