Because the residence of Zhang Jun, who was named Qinghe County Prince in the Southern Song Dynasty, is located in Taiping Lane of Yujie, this area was named Qinghefang. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Qinghefang was lined with shops and restaurants. It was the political and cultural center of Hangzhou and a gathering place for merchants. It was still a prosperous commercial area in Hangzhou through the Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China until the early days of liberation. Hangzhou's Centenary Years Old restaurants such as Wang Xingji, Zhang Xiaoquan, Wanlong Ham House, Hu Qingyutang, Fang Huichun Hall, Ye Zhongde Hall, Baohe Hall, Zhuangyuan Hall, Wang Runxing, Yiyuan Gold Store, Jingyangguan, Yangtang Restaurant, etc. are all concentrated here In this area.

In order to preserve the historical context of the old street, the scenic spot restored Huichun Hall, Baohe Hall, Zhongde Hall Time-honored Traditional Chinese Medicine Store and Wanwan Street. In addition to the time-honored brands such as Long Ham House, Wang Xingji Fan, and Rongbaozhai, it also introduced the World Numismatic Museum, Guanfu Classical Art Museum, Yafeng Hall, Zhejiang Ancient Pottery Collection Hall, Longquan Official Kiln Exhibition Hall and various handicrafts and arts. Pindian and Wuyue people's handmade fabrics, Tai Chi Tea Ceremony, Taihe Tea Ceremony, Shaoxing Old Hotel, Xiangyi Pavilion, Huabaozhai, Yu Jinshun Art Museum, Xidebao, Lijiang Crafts and other specialty shops make Qinghefang a place where ancient charm still exists.
