Introduction to the Parliament Building: The Albanian Parliament Building was built in 1924 and is the seat of the Albanian Parliament, the highest authority and legislative body in Albania. Albania has a multi-party system in which members are elected by universal suffrage, and the party with the most seats in the parliament forms the government. The current ruling party is the right-wing Democratic Party, and the largest opposition party is the left-wing Socialist Party.
