City gate introduction: Great Angkor (Tongwang City) has 5 gates, 4 of which lead to the Bayon Temple in the center of the city. The south gate is 23 meters high, with a huge four-sided Buddha statue above it, smiling peacefully, which is one of the symbols of Angkor's monuments. There are also three-headed elephants for decoration on the city gate, with three elephant trunks hanging vertically. There are also thick decorative patterns on the nose that look like waves, which are very imposing. There are four in total at the front and back, but only one side is relatively complete. One side of the trunk is damaged.
