Introduction to Fotu Temple: Fotu Mountain is also known as Dajianshan, also known as Saga Village. It has high and precipitous mountains, strange scenery and outstanding people. It was named after the Indian Buddhist monk Fotu Cheng who first built the Fotu Temple in the mountain as early as 1600. It has been ranked among the famous mountains many years ago and is known as "Quiet and quiet Penglai".
Fotu Temple is not only the first Buddhist temple built by foreign monks in Taihu County, but also the first Buddhist temple with written records in Taihu County and even the Jianghuai region. The construction of Fotu Temple marked the official introduction of Buddhist culture into the Jianghuai region in the Jin Dynasty. The temple has been destroyed, leaving only the temple foundation. The eight famous sceneries of Fotu Temple are: Tianzhu Pagoda, Feilai Spring, Tianjiu Gate, Piyun Stone, Bazheng Bridge, Shengbai Cave, Yixiantian, and Zushi Cave.
