Introduction to Baoen Temple: Baoen Temple is located in the northeast corner of the city. It was formerly known as Chongjiao Zen Temple and Dongchan Temple. It was renamed to its present name during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. According to county records, the temple was first built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649 AD) and has a history of more than 1,300 years. The total area of the temple is more than 14,700 square meters. The courtyard is divided into three sections. Its scale is huge. , the majestic architecture is second to none on the land of Jianghuai.
The first courtyard inside the mountain gate is lush with pines and green cypresses. In the center is the Song Pagoda underground palace. The original pagoda was damaged over time and has been demolished. The underground palace under the tower has painted murals and precious cultural relics such as gold and silver coffins; you pass through the Two Buddhas The hall is the second deep courtyard. In the courtyard, two thousand-year-old ginkgo trees block out the sky and the sun. The main hall and the east and west corridors are splendid and magnificent. On the east, west and north sides of the hall, there are dozens of clay sculptures of Eighteen Arhats and figures from the Tang, Song, Ming and Ming Dynasties. The wood carvings and bronze statues of the fourth dynasty of the Qing Dynasty are all provincial cultural relics. On the walls on both sides of the main hall door are the seven characters "Namo Shi Ying Muni Buddha" written by the great calligrapher Zhao Yuqing and the calligraphy of the Qing Dynasty calligrapher Liang Nen. There are two stone carvings on the two sides of this seven-character postscript. On the east side of the main hall are the monks' ancestral hall and the Dichen Jingshe, and on both sides are the Zen Hall and Weinaliao. The third entrance to the courtyard is the Lu Pavilion, which is commanding and solemn and elegant. After passing the garden gate on the west side, Then we came to the newly built "Stele Garden", where the inscriptions of celebrities from past dynasties are arranged.
