Introduction to colorful iron houses: Boca District is the first port of Buenos Aires. European immigrants, especially many Italian immigrants, settled here. These impoverished people built their houses with old iron sheets and some scrap materials from the ship, and then used various colors of paint left over from the paint ship to paint the houses in bright colors. Most of these colorful houses have two or three floors, with exaggerated and comical statues standing at the doorways and balconies.
