Introduction to Shidian Scenic Area: Shidian Scenic Area, also known as Shuangji Temple Scenic Area, is surrounded by three mountains (Monkey Mountain on the left, Jiulong Mountain on the right, and Yaji Mountain in the middle), with gurgling streams and spectacular waterfalls. Shuangji Temple is also called Bailong Mountain Stone Temple. It was called Shimen Temple and Bailong Temple in ancient times, and is commonly known as Xiagong (front cave). Because there are two huge strange rocks (Shuangji Peak and Yaji Peak) rising from the ground at the east end of Shimen Temple, just like those in the Tang and Song Dynasties. The double buns worn by women during that period were lifelike, hence the name Double Bun Temple. This nunnery was first built in the late Southern Song Dynasty and revived in the Ming Dynasty (from the fifth year of Longqing to the tenth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty). It covers a total area of more than 2,000 square meters and a construction area of 1,500 square meters. Each building is built according to the terrain, with simple structure, rough and smooth lines of Buddha statues and decorative carvings, and is well preserved. It is one of the few Ming Dynasty stone buildings in Zhejiang Province.
