Introduction to the Eighth Route Army Anti-Japanese War Monument: The Eighth Route Army Anti-Japanese War Monument aims to remember the great achievements of the Eighth Route Army soldiers in the history of China’s national liberation. The body of the monument is square in shape and is veneered with white marble. There are eight gold-plated characters written on it: "Monument to the Eighth Route Army's Anti-Japanese War." On both sides of the monument are copper patterns engraved with ears of grain and spears, symbolizing the defeat of the Eighth Route Army by relying on "millet plus rifles".
