Introduction to the Icefields Highway: The Icefields Highway is 230 kilometers long, starting from Lake Louise and going north to the Bow River Valley, passing through Hector Lake, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake. After that, to reach the highest point, follow the Mistaya River to the mouth of Saskatchewan, and then follow the North Saskatchewan River to the Columbia Icefield. The road then passes through Jasper National Park, over the Sunwapta Pass with an altitude of 2,023 meters, and continues to the town of Jasper. During the entire highway journey, you can have a panoramic view of ice peaks, glaciers, ice fields, glacial lakes, alpine grasslands, hot springs and other landscapes.
