Lake area introduction: The water area of the Botanical Garden is about 10 hectares. Taking advantage of the terrain differences, natural methods such as stacked dams, streams and shallow pools are cleverly used to connect the three lakes into one. The second phase of the Beijing Botanical Garden water system was carried out in 2003. The project has created a rare sight of eight lakes competing for beauty and gurgling water among the green mountains and trees.
