Introduction to history and culture: The exhibition content of "Ancient Capital Beijing·History and Culture" is divided into two parts: "Beijing History and Culture" and "World Civilization Overview", which are located in the inner circle (showcase) and "World Civilization Overview" of the exhibition line respectively. Outer circle (four walls of the exhibition hall).
The "Beijing History and Culture" exhibition content takes the perspective of history and culture and shows that in the long years from the ancient times 460,000 years ago to the founding of New China, Beijing has experienced the transformation from a primitive settlement to a city, from the development of northern China. The political center rose to become the capital of a unified feudal dynasty, the capital of the People's Republic of China, and then developed into an international metropolis under construction. The six scenes of "Wharf", "Battle of Beijing", "The Capital in the Golden Age (Beijing during the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Dynasties)", "May 4th Movement" and "Founding Ceremony" serve as nodes connecting the history of Beijing. This section displays a total of 675 components of cultural relics and a large number of diagrams and photos. The cultural relics on display include stoneware, ceramics, bronzes, gold and silverwares, jades, fabrics, calligraphy and paintings, furniture, rubbings, etc.
