BAe146 introduction: BAe146-100 B2701 aircraft is the first aircraft collected by the Civil Aviation Museum. The BAe146 aircraft, formerly known as HS.146, is a four-engine turbofan short-range transport aircraft developed by British Aerospace Corporation and put into the market in 1978. It uses the original ALF502 and ALF507 engines from Marsh Lycoming Company, which has the characteristics of low operating cost, good landing performance and low noise. BAe146-100 is the basic type of BAe146, suitable for take-off and landing at short runway airports, with a normal passenger capacity of 82-93 people. This aircraft was one of the first of its type introduced into China in 1986. From 1986 to 2002, it had been performing passenger transportation tasks at Gansu, Lanzhou, and Zhongchuan airports. It has made significant contributions to China's civil aviation, especially the civil aviation industry in the northwest region. . It was officially grounded and retired in 2003. It was donated to the museum by China Eastern Airlines in 2005.
