Introduction to March Changzhai and Zhusheng Noble and Lowly Division: "March" refers to the first month, July and October. "Long fast" means to think carefully and practice with a pure heart. Taoism believes that the first lunar month, seventh lunar month and tenth lunar month are the periods when the three officials of heaven, earth and water are judged on their merits and demerits. During this period, one should observe fasting, abstain from killing, recite scriptures, and practice good deeds. Otherwise, you will be punished by shortening your wealth and longevity. According to the number of good and evil deeds performed by each person in this life, the Nobility and Disgrace Division determines whether his or her status in the next life will be high or low. Advise people to plant fields of blessing as soon as possible to avoid being humble and lowly in the next life. It is a reflection of Taoism’s emphasis on the concept of cultivating virtue in this world.
