Introduction to Grandmaster Zhang Temple: Grandmaster Zhang is the founder of Dongyue Temple. His name was Liu Sun and his courtesy name was Shi Han (1248-1321). When he was young, he went to Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi to learn Taoism. After going north to Dadu, he was favored by Emperor Yuan and was named the "Grand Master of Xuanjiao". Later, he was granted the title of Duke of Wei, knew Jixian Academy, and took charge of Taoism. During the Yanyou period, he purchased land at his own expense and built the Dongyue Temple, which soon became immortal.
