Introduction to the No. 1 Sophora japonica: "The No. 1 Sophora japonica" is located on the east side of the back building of Dongyue Temple. Legend has it that Emperor Wenchang, who was in charge of the imperial examinations and Guangxi official career, would screen the scholars under the locust tree here during every major examination to determine their ranking and official career in the Guizhou register.
