Introduction to Xiehe Gate: Located in the middle of the east side of Taihe Gate Square, it was once known as Zuoshun Gate and Huiji Gate. It was the only way to the Wenhua Palace or the Cabinet in the previous dynasty. Emperor Jingtai of the Ming Dynasty once set up a noon court at this gate due to war emergencies. When Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty came to the throne, there was a great ceremony in which the ministers fought against the imperial power.
