Introduction to Shoukang Palace: Shoukang Palace was tailor-made by Qianlong for his mother, the Empress Dowager Chongqing. It faces south and is 5 rooms wide and 3 rooms deep. It has yellow glazed tiles on the top of the mountain. Inside the hall hangs a plaque inscribed by Emperor Qianlong with the words "Ci Shou Ning Xi". Between the east and west ends is a Nuan Pavilion. The East Nuan Pavilion is the Buddhist hall where the Empress Dowager worships Buddha on a daily basis.
