Introduction to Wenhua Hall: It is the main hall on Chaodong Road outside the Forbidden City. It was used as the prince's palace in the early Ming Dynasty, and the roof was covered with green glazed tiles. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, it was changed into the emperor's short hall, and the roof was covered with yellow glazed tiles. The banquets of emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the grading after the palace examinations were all held in Wenhua Hall. Important auxiliary Confucian ministers in the cabinet would also be honored with the title of Bachelor of Wenhua Hall. It is now used as a ceramics exhibition hall.
The Palace Museum has a collection of approximately 350,000 ceramic cultural relics, most of which belong to the original collection of the Qing Palace. It can be said that it has its own system and is well-circulated. There are more than 400 exquisite pieces on display in the Ceramics Hall, which are displayed in the order of development of the times for the audience to appreciate and study.
